All of these topics interest me and are areas that constantly being explored. One of the more prominent issues is biofeuls. The airlines are starting to feel the pressure and are looking into hydrogen as a fuel source. The more advanced projects involve building hydrogen hyper jets. Modern day jets are also getting very close to being outdated by scramjets. These jets will have the ability to travel from New York to London in two hours. At the moment though these planes have lasted for very little time in the air but they are getting very close. They are useing new technology in these jets that uses air as a fuel source in a way. Genetics in general is a very vast subject, but a specific interest of mine is changing the genetic code of bacteria to help humans. This is being tested for used from dental hygene to curing cancer. Neuroscience is also very complex. What interests me the most is the study on fear. How part of our brain overrides the logical part to create fear. All of these subject are things that interest me and that I keep an eye on.

Do you think it's dangerous to mess with DNA? Sure, it can help, but does the idea of "playing god" concern you at all? I feel like such endeavors could get out of hand.

I agree with josh that it could get very dangerous to mess with DNA, but i also agree with you when you say that it would help us if we could change bacteria...i'm inbetween.

Wow, New York to London in 2 hours! The jets you researched sound like they can really help people, and the earth because airlines are looking into hydrogen as an alternate fuel source. I also agree that the study of fear sounds very interesting.

Changing the genetic code of bacteria sounds like a great idea (as long as it is done properly). If done right it could save millions of lives. Maybe we could even get the bacteria to have a "desire" to attack certain viruses, or advance antibiotics. Unfortunately the risk of doing this may not be worth it. One incorrect "tweak" of the DNA could lead to a new biological weapon or disease that could wipe out the human race. Unfortunately since this has been thought about already, anyone wanting to use this for evil purposes is probably already on the job.

I think scram jets are really cool. I think this is a really good idea. This would use full for business men or for the military and that is insane that you can make a 7 hour flight to 2 hours.

I agree that biofuels would be a cool topic to research. We need alternative energy sources in our world today. Scramjets are an amazing thing to research and I think this topic would be interesting as well.
